oh no, I actually love McVries. Im just not the most vocal of the fandom. He has flaws, major fucking flaws, but he’s still a good character. And a lot of good characters arent great guys. Im just saying I got really attached to him and he shouldnt have died…
Seconded. McVries is my absolute favorite. He’s actually been a favorite literary character overall (not just in TLW or of King’s works) of mine since I first read the book what seems like forever ago. :)
I need to make new Long Walk numbers for the costumes this year (especially since there is supposedly a Stephen King panel to go to while we’re scheduled to wear them! XDDDD) but I’m afraid I’ll start gross sobbing uncontrollably while doing so.

This is an old story I wrote back in 2008. The fact that there are actually people on tumblr who have read the Long Walk now makes me happy cause then there will actually be people who understand it, haha! XD
Peter was always my favorite walker so I really disliked the way Pris treated him sometimes (not that he was a super gentleman all the time and stuff lolol) but I couldn’t help this idea once it got in my head. I figured she had to have feelings for him somehow at some point…
